Role: Lab Technician location: Indianapolis, IN (Onsite) Shift: 1st, 7am-3pm, M-F Interview: 1 st Video and 2 nd In-person Description : Supports laboratory functions for production and/or development teams. Responsible for set-up and calibration of test equipment, execution of test procedures, data recording and reporting, and laboratory supply management KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Each day, the engineering team is working to meet some of the most unique and exciting global challenges. Set up and instrumentation of split systems in psychrometric and/or sound & vibration rooms Modify and fabricate test units and test setups as directed by responsible engineers or technicians Aide in managing various inventories o Fill in for experienced project and/or sound & vibration technicians as needed to execute test plans LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITIES : Under moderate supervision, performs varied tasks of intermediate complexity Applies intermediate and some advanced skills to perform the position within the assigned area May adopt new procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment to meet more complex testing requirements Resolves most questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels Education / Certifications HS Diploma or Associate's degree (or other 2-year post-high school training) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience Experience/Qualifications Strong working knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel Familiarity and adaptability to using data systems, databases, and specialized lab testing software Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and instrumentation Mechanical Aptitude use of basic hand tools in a lab environment Electrical Aptitude electrical/electronic knowledge, able to read wiring diagrams and use a Volt/Ohm meter Highly organized with strong attention to detail while managing multiple priorities Ability to comprehend and comply with EH&S Practices & Policies and Ethics Practices Experience working in a team and matrix environment Proven capacity to self-direct/motivate with a vision toward future goals
