Purpose and Objective The Junior Cloud Technical Specialist is responsible for providing support and implementation of technical solutions to our customers. This individual will have a clear understanding of the services we provide and work closely with our customers to ensure the service provided is of the highest quality possible. In addition, the Cloud Technical Specialist will lead and support technical infrastructure, including the physical network, Azure Cloud and On-prem Window Servers. The Junior Cloud Technical Specialist will provide subject matter expertise to the design, structure, delivery and management of all technology initiatives. This will include supporting stakeholder engagement and approval, and managing communications to meet defined business objectives. The role is applicable to various technology services within Infrastructure Services, including Cloud, End User Compute, Databases, Storage, Cyber Resilience, Network and Voice. Role and Responsibilities - Oversee availability and performance of the technical services within LGRA, by ensuring suppliers and internal resources implement technical solutions as per agreed designs.
- Contribute to incident, service request management, capacity, availability, problem, change and knowledge management activities within the team, to ensure the service is highly available and continually improved.
- Ensure all changes are technically reviewed and assessed, adhering to LGRA change management processes, and that the team represents the changes at the change approval board, aligned with company policy.
- Actively identify risks, ensuring they are appropriately logged and tracked on respective forums, and take appropriate action to mitigate or resolve risk adhering to company policy.
- Provide support to major incidents as they occur, and handle subsequent activities needed to prevent re-occurrence via Problem Management.
- Ensure support processes, escalation procedures and changes align with L&Gs commitment to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
- Implement technical solutions, working with architecture to define system/service design aligned with business requirement.
- Celebrate team success, promote a positive atmosphere, and shares credit for success.
- Collaborate with team members, by sharing skills, knowledge, and experiences.
Requirements - Bachelor degree in computer science or related subject required.
- 3-5 years of experience working in fast paced IT environment.
- Experience and knowledge of Jira.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate technical aspects general employee population.
- An IT service management qualification is desirable but not required, if relevant experience can be demonstrated.
- Proven experience administering Microsoft Azure Cloud including Azure Active Directory, Virtual Machines, and hardening/security.
- Experience administering Domain Controllers, office networks, and secure international network connectivity and trust federation.
- In depth experience working in an IT services & multi-vendor environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange (prem/cloud) administration, Microsoft Defender and Defender Cloud.
- Knowledge of SharePoint administration, hardening, and standard processes.
- Experience in the implementation, deployment, and daily use of inTune and Autopilot.
- Experience of running in-house services, or managing outsourced supplier and services, ensuring services are delivered to contractual obligations.
- Ability to form effective working relationships necessary to perform the job.
- Experience with Terraform and containers (Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Experience with Enterprise Mobility+ Security is a plus.
