The Cloud Engineers Levels II-III (AWS) are a vital member of the IT Infrastructure organization, working very closely with the development, QA, stakeholders, business sales and InfoSec teams. these roles will work within DevOps model to onboard applications leveraging Infrastructure as a Code and AWS following Traxs CI/CD pipeline. These Cloud Engineers will focus on automating processes and workflows. The incumbents in these roles, are a core role level member of the IT Infrastructure Engineering Team, they will be accountable for assigned systems and processes critical to the successful operation of Enterprise IT.Key Responsibilities:Deploying scalable, highly available systems on AWS.Contributing towards Infrastructure design and selecting the correct AWS service base on requirements.Design, build and deploy Infrastructure as a Code (IaC).Help develop solutions and enforce DevOps patterns and practices.Maintain process documentation, workflow, and architectural diagrams.Support development engineers on their implementations.Development of medium to large complex customers technology platform or architectures.Maintain active relationships with internal and/or external stakeholders to develop business requirements.Analyses and classifies complex change request and identifies and documents possible systems enhancements.Demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, our developed products and infrastructure.Work with development team to develop and define application scope and objectives and prepare functional and/or technical specifications.Analyses and evaluates detailed business and technical requirements.Self-starter/self-motivated, capable of staying on track and pursuing solutions without supervision; flexible do-whatever-it-takes solution-oriented approach.Support the Sales Team on preparing Demos, Proof of Concepts, or pre-prod environments to incentivize customer to sign agreements.Support the sales team with quotes and proposals and reviewing customer technical requirements in a timely basis due to often tight deadlines.Understand the product and analytics and drive requirements that consider stakeholders needs.Provides on-call support and monitors the system and identifies system deficiencies.Strong track record of service delivery using ITIL processes.Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.Determined to deliver outcomes and able to overcome obstacles to resolve service management incidents.Perform post in-incident reviews of all major incidents and determining actions items required to avoid similar issues/minimize downtime for future incidents.Provides Level 2/3 production support respectively.Perform capacity analysis of applications hosted in AWS.Monitor cloud infrastructure to identify areas of improvement, reliability, cost savings, etc.Disaster recovery planning and testing.Contribute to the development of cloud standards, best practices, and organizational capability.Research and drive adoption of cloud-native technologies.Requirements:Qualifications:BS/BA Degree in computer Science, Business, or related field; or commensurate combination of education IT Certifications and (link removed)prehensive knowledge of DevOps practices and (link removed)prehensive knowledge deploying Infrastructure as a Code patterns using Terraform and Cloud Formation.Strong understanding of Cloud Technologies with focus on AWS.ITIL Foundation Certification is required or earned within 6 months of hire date.AWS Architect or DevOps Certification is required or earned within 6 months of hire date.1+ years of experience (Level II architecting, designing, developing, and implanting cloud solutions in AWS, Level III requires minimum of 3+ Years).1+ years of experience (Level II, Level III requires minimum of 3+ years) designing applications infrastructure (web, client/server, COM+, etc.)1+ years of experience (Level II working with Linux/CentOS/RedHat, Level III requires minimum of 3+ years).Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to set own goals and manage towards them.Ability to effectively mentor junior team members.Strong customer service skills.Willingness to work specific hours to provide SLA-time-base coverage to our customers.Able to participate on a weekend on-call rotation to support business activities.Bilingual is a plus but not required.Ability to travel, domestically and internationally.Successfully, complete all required internal and external training as assigned.Strong verbal and written communication skills.
