Reporting to the Placement Supervisor or Director of Supported Employment Services, the Job Developer is responsible for facilitating vocational training services which provide people who have different abilities opportunities to work with integrated teams and receive work support as neededachieving the highest level of independence possible. Responsible

for providing vocational exploration, counseling and job seeking skills training for clients with disabilities seeking community employment. Conducts job development and employer contacts for Client placement. Conducts job analysis, job matching, and provides case management, on-site training, work assessment, job coaching and orientation to Clients at community job sites. Works with Employment Services Case management staff, communicating with customers, state agencies, guardians, supervisors, co-workers, and the client to improve performance, resolve any concerns, achieve goals, ensure satisfaction and to document and submit reports for funding and record keeping. Provides services resulting in client placement into employment that meets the client interests and desired employment as well as meets the individual service plan and funding source goals of placements.

Days/Hours: M - F 8am - 4:30pm Full Time Shifts vary depending on the needs of the individuals served

Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Client Relations

Promote a culture of person-centered services that advances the Companys mission to provide quality care and services in a community-based setting to individuals with disabilities. Ensure a high rate of client satisfaction. Communicate regularly and effectively with clients regarding progress toward goals and program success. Review client files and determine their individual needs. Demonstrate our Company values to achieve optimum performance levels and achieve goals and objectives. Schedule and conduct Progress Reviews with the clients, funding agencies, guardians/family members at the required frequency.

Community Worksite Development

Work with businesses in the local community to identify potential jobs for individuals with disabilities. Assist clients in securing employment based on the clients goals and interests. Promote clients for employment with community employers and develop working relationships with local businesses to provide candidates for job openings. Place 2 or more clients per month into completive employment to meet milestones and outcomes of the funding contract.Provide employer contacts to placement reports including relevant contact information, wage, benefits, hours of work, duties to be performed and other information for placement reports. Conduct job search support including meeting managers to discuss job openings and ways to assist clients and job-related needs. Maintain on-going contact with case managers of clients currently working to check on client progress and assist with any concerns or problems. Track employer contact information and job leads each week.

Client Employment, Training

Train and support clients to complete resumes, applications, interviews, and job seeking skills Assist clients when starting a new job as needed to complete orientation, learn about safety, policies, procedures, complete orientation and learn about job tasks expected of employees and ensure quality and satisfaction with the employer. Travel to assigned sites to provide support services for each client. Assist with identifying effective job accommodations for clients as needed. Monitor clients progress and gather feedback from work site supervisors. Maintain information updates on clients with company supervisory staff and funding agencies. Communicate with assigned case manager on designated clients for placement.Assist clients with work skills and behavior to improve performance. Advocate on behalf of the clients and assist clients in resolving issues.

Community Integration

Provide vocational exploration, counseling and job seeking skills training for clients seeking community employment. Teach Job Club sessions on a rotating schedule to provide training competencies including appropriate work site communication, interview skills and job retention

skills. Assist clients with resume writing, application/assessment tests, interview skills, job seeking skills training and leading Job Club classes.

Documentation

Provide and maintain accurate records of observations and services provided to track progress for clients permanent records and for billing using the companys electronic recordkeeping system. Work with ES Case Managers to generate reports for funding agencies including progress reports, chronological notes, Individual Service Plans (IEP), service hours and staffing.

Physical Demands

Occasionally sitting in the normal course of office-sedentary type work.

Frequently standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and twisting in the normal course of office-sedentary type work and for training workers.

Frequently listening to and speaking with managers, staff, and clients to communicate about requests, training needs and other concerns.

Continually visually alert to monitor, to read and write or type documents, observe client interactions, and communicate with all.

Frequently using hands in handling products, writing, typing, and general office work.

Kneeling is required to perform CPR practice sessions; complete skills testing and use as required. Occasionally bending, reaching, and twisting; occasionally climbing stairs and/or ladders squatting; occasionally pushing/ pulling a rolling pallet jack loaded with product.

May need to lift or carry up to 50 lbs. to assist a client to their feet from a lying or sitting position, to help with walking or for the Client to change positions.

Requirements

High School diploma or G.E.D. bachelors degree preferred.

2+ years of experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities or Mental Health impairments. Background in job placement for persons with various disabilities. Sales and marketing skills helpful.

CPR, 1st Aid, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training provided by the company must be successfully completed within the first 4 months to be certified and annually thereafter for CPR, 1st Aid and CPI to maintain the position.

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Must pass criminal background check.

Must pass various State and Federal registry checks.

Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check

Must pass driving history check and Company policy criteria, maintain valid drivers license and be 21 or older to drive on Company business.

Use of personal insured vehicle for Company-related travel is required.

May occasionally drive Company vehicle to transport clients for community work or activities or for meetings.
