Primary Job Duties
Responsible for leading complex application development projects, with a focus on high-performance, database-driven web applications involving advanced programming, data management, and leadership responsibilities.
Lead the design and development of applications using open-source products like Alfresco, Pentaho, and Apache.
Architect and optimize relational and non-relational databases using advanced tools and methods.
Develop and maintain high-performance web applications for Apache HTTPS server using Tomcat, jQuery, GWT, JSP/Swing, and CSS/XPath/XSLT.
Utilize advanced programming environments and frameworks such as Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Perl, XML, Shell scripting, SQL, PL/SQL, Hibernate, SpringROO/MVC, Solr/Lucene, Kettle/PDI, and SPARQL.
Implement asynchronous client/server programming techniques like AJAX or Web 2.0.
Manage relational databases like Oracle and MySQL, and employ ORM techniques.
Lead the use of source configuration management/version management tools like SVN/Git and related tools like JIRA and Maven.
Ensure compliance with Section 508 requirements and responsive design.
Provide full off-site center backup support and resolve application security issues.
