The Facilities Management Department is sourcing for an individual with journey-level experience as an HVAC Technician opportunity. The essential duties of the job involve and are not limited to the following:

1. Conducts installation, preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments and repairs of electrical and mechanical problems involving heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems, building automation controls, thermostats, boilers, belts, pumps, filters, valves, motors, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, chillers and cooling towers.
2. Operates computer-based building management systems, coordinates and inspects work performed by contractors engaged in HVAC systems and equipment installation, maintenance and repair, operates hand and power tools, vacuum pump and test equipment.
3. Monitors and operates the airports central chilled water and heating hot water systems; monitors and responds to HVAC related issues; troubleshoots and solves problems associated with HVAC systems and equipment.
4. Prepares cost estimates and orders materials; maintains records of work plans and logs, interprets and works from sketches, drawings, blueprints and specifications; completes work consistently with relevant codes.
5. Provides work direction and trains others maintenance personnel, assists with cooperative assignments; operates vehicles to travel to various work sites; performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. High school graduation or GED
2. Two years of journey-level experience in the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration trade
3. Or an equivalent combination of training and experience
4. Siemens building automation control systems experience preferred

Salary Information:

• Depending on experience, starting pay is between $30.96 to $36.11per hour
• The positions full pay range is $30.96 - $36.11 - $41.91
• Work performed on 2nd or 3rd shift is eligible for shift differential pay of $2.25 (2nd shift) or $2.50 (3rd shift)
