Job description

Overview

Responsible for coordinating the activities of a project to ensure quality and schedules are met and costs are controlled. This includes planning, organization, and management of the day to day project operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Estimating labor, equipment, materials, and subcontract for service work and projects.
  • Selling, quoting, proposing, and booking service work and projects.
  • Planning, organization, and management of the day to day project operations.
  • Negotiating, writing, and coordination of subcontracts.
  • Purchasing equipment and materials for service work and projects.
  • Responsibility for the technical documents specific to the project. Become quickly knowledgeable with all related project specifications, design drawings, etc. Responsible for document control whether paper or electronic.
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to team in the field as required to ensure productivity and schedule.
  • Supervising and documenting project schedules, change-orders, submittals, budgets and submit RFIs for approval.
  • Provide quality customer service and follow-up to customers as needed.
  • Punch-list and close-out coordination efforts.
  • Assures permits are secured where applicable.

Experience, technical skills & attributes required:

  • An ideal candidate will have 5 years of commercial HVAC or construction experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of process piping and commercial HVAC systems.
  • Good organizational, analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Must have strong computer skills (Excel, Word).
  • Able to build rapport and productive working relationships with managers, staff, and field.
  • Understands mechanical systems and appropriate codes and industry standards.
  • While performing the duties of this position, must be able to meet the physical demands of the job. Work outdoors in changing weather conditions. Regularly required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch, among other physical demands.
