Tower Water is a long standing water treatment company in the growth phase of their lifecycle looking for a candidate who is passionate about working with their hands in the NYC area. You must be a responsive individual that is enthusiastic about having a schedule that changes regularly and be able to adapt into all types of construction environments. What you'll be doing:

• Assist Technician in running specialty pipe cleaning jobs
• Assist Technician in running cooling tower cleaning jobs
• Using chlorine & chemicals to clean cooling towers. Protective equipment is provided.
• Work with Technicians to flush, clean and treat piping systems using specialized equipment and chemicals.
• Unload trucks upon arrival.
• Perform routine and emergency tower cleaning and disinfections to the standard of Tower Water.
• Ensuring materials are available when needed and communicating when restock is necessary.
• Notify Field Manager and Technicians of any problems.
• Assist in other areas, such as deliveries, as directed.
• Complete required company trainings and attend staff meetings
• Use phone apps to clock in/out, review schedule, and other tasks.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 40-70 pounds
• Working in NYC; NJ candidates will meet the Technician, who will drive a company vehicle into NY
• Work in high locations (not afraid of heights).
• Work in inclement weather/conditions (20F to 115F)
• Previous experience in pipe fitting trades or HVAC/refrigeration strongly considered
• Experience working on a construction site a plus but not required
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills to respond to customer's needs or concerns
• Ability to use technology such as smart phone apps or online trainings
• OSHA certification or SST Card a plus but not required
• Ability to pass a physical & drug screening
• A valid driver license and maintained insurability on our company policy is required for occasional driving of company vehicles
• Ability to attend staff meetings in New Jersey

• Pay rate is $20 per hour with high potential to grow through our progression plan
• Although the majority of work takes place on weekdays, Saturday work is at a rate of 1.5, and Sunday work is at a rate of 2 times.
