Ground Control Station (GCS) and Satellite Communications SME

Spectrum is seeking highly qualified GCS/Satellite Communications SME to support our customer at Creech AFB, NV. In this role you will advise and assist the customer with operational test planning, execution, data analysis and reporting.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Support maintenance suitability evaluations. Conduct or evaluate tasks and procedures of line maintenance personnel.
• Conduct operations in accordance with published or verified manuals, checklists, technical orders, AFIs and other approved documents as provided by the Government.
• Assist in the coordination with third party organizations to review, develop, and draft local job guides (LJG) based on existing third-party documentation and best practices.
• Track configuration management of the cockpits to ensure components are backward/forward compatible and configurations are authorized and appropriate.
• Sign off aircraft forms IAW AFI 00-20-1 and other applicable AFIs and governing documents.

• Track configuration management of SATCOM/communication equipment to ensure components are backward/forward compatible and configurations are authorized and appropriate.
• Ensure all test resources, data acquisition systems, instrumentation, and hardware and software components are adequately suited to meet test requirements.
• Coordinate with 556 TES flight operations and scheduling as well as the host maintenance group and its supporting units to facilitate test events.
• Coordinate with Commercial Satellite Communications Office (CSCO) to include writing and submitting contract requirements.

• Assist PMs in the assignment of MX team members for test events.

Requirements

Experience:

• 5 years experience with RPA (preferably MQ-9) GCS MX
• 3 years experience with RPA (preferably MQ-9) satellite and radio communications
• 2 years test experience desired

Education:

• High School Diploma

Security Clearance:

• Active Secret Security Clearance to begin work
• Capable of obtaining Top Secret with SCI eligibility
