ClassWallet is looking for an Vertical Marketing Manager to develop, execute and manage marketing campaigns to generate engagement and drive full funnel lead generation/demand for ClassWallet solutions for leaders in the education funding space.

Your target personas in this role are lawmakers and administrative staff within state government offices responsible for or influential in the funding of K-12 public education. A demonstrated history in marketing to government offices, and agencies is critical in this role.

The Government Vertical Marketing Manager will work cross-functionally throughout ClassWallet and with the sales team to execute campaigns that directly influence the success of the business. This position will be responsible for identifying the thought leadership direction, the content, and the channels through which the story can be told.

The right person will have excellent relationship building skills such that they will be able to build and work with their networks to find thought leaders and bring those perspectives into the ClassWallet story. The Government Vertical Marketing Manager must also have excellent communication skills in order to explain their ideas and direction to the Brand Content Manager (responsible for execution of content assets) and to the Sales Team so that they understand how to use the content to close deals. Further, the Government Vertical Marketing Manager will need to have a productive relationship with the Product Team and the Customer Marketing Manager so that they are constantly aware of product features and how these features impact the user experience.


Description

As a key member of the Marketing team, you will design and lead the marketing strategy for your vertical. You will collaborate with other vertical market managers and the brand content manager to executive on your strategy.

You will develop, manage and optimize demand generation campaigns to drive engagement and demand resulting in marketing qualified leads.

  • Work as a key influencer and contributor to ClassWallet demand generation strategy, collaborate with cross-functional team.
  • Ensure differentiated messaging and value propositions for key government and education stakeholders.
  • Identify national, state and local events to build experiential strategies and generate leads.
  • Be passionate about the customer: understand the buyer journey and develop the assets to lead through to a successful engagement with sales.
  • Set the content agenda based on the agenda of key government and education buyers, stakeholders, and influencers.
  • Collaborate with Brand Content Manager to create content assets to engage target audiences.
  • Collaborate with marketing team members and agencies to develop campaign assets and supporting materials including automated workflows, landing pages, emails, and forms.
  • Manage event and campaign budgets.
  • Provide reports that show engagement and demand gen metrics against campaign and sales targets.
  • 20-30% travel required.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

Key Requirements

  • You have 5 - 7 years of experience in a marketing or campaign role.
  • You have extensive knowledge of B2B, SaaS technologies, and Digital Marketing best practices and trends.
  • You have demonstrated successful history marketing to State Government Offices and Agencies.
  • You have the ability to work closely with Sales, Brand Marketing, and other key stakeholders and be an influencer to the global demand generation strategy
  • You have a strong sense of market awareness including the ability to harmonize messages across channels and localize marketing campaigns to reach target audiences in the education funding market.
  • You can show success from previous experiences how you create marketing plans with a balance of channels and content, inclusive of digital and social strategies.
  • You are familiar with toolsets such as Hubspot, SFDC, AdWords, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and their capabilities.
  • You can influence and maintain exceptional communication skills, including presenting to internal and external groups.
  • You are a self-starter who has the ability to quickly learn ClassWallet solutions and adapt to new technologies.
  • You are a team player who is action-oriented, positive, flexible, adaptable, and able to independently in an unstructured environment.
  • Knowledge of education funding is a great positive, but not required.
