Augusta, GA: Glaucoma specialist needed for high volume surgical practice to include cataract and refractive surgery. Expect to be busy on day one in transition to replace retiring glaucoma specialists busy practice. Anticipate annual surgical volume to exceed 1200 cataracts and 100 glaucoma filtering surgeries (tubes/trabs) plus MIGS within 2 years of start. Current surgeons average 30% premium surgery including FLACS. Enjoy a four-day week with 3 clinic days and 1 dedicated OR day. Large optometric referral base in community and significant optometric support within the practice. 35,000 sf of office space featuring 30 clinical lanes. Separate screening areas and full suite of imaging and diagnostic equipment facilitates extensive work-ups with fully prepped patients ready for physician encounters. On-site ASC with four large ORs, LenSx Laser, Centurion Machines, Leica Microscopes, Digital Video, full pre-op and PACU suites, and LASER suite for YAG/Argon/SLT. Spa-like LASIK center with WaveLight EX500 and FS200 adjacent to main building. Reception, Billing, Medical Records, LASIK, and Scheduling departments are all integrated in-house, each with excellent management. EMR/Practice management and Imaging through Modernizing Medicine. One satellite office in Aiken, SC with optical. Established culture of highest ethical standards of business and medical practice. Practice dynamic is collegial, respectful, diverse, and fun. No hospital call. Practice call shared equally among surgeons with weekend optometric support first-call. Highly trained technical staff perform extensive patient work-ups and scribe/assist in documenting and coding in EMR. Salary plus quarterly bonus in top 10% in nation as associate, top 1% as partner.
