This role would be responsible and accountable for accurate data entry of incoming prescriptions and answering phone calls from new and existing patients and prescribers. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Deliver excellent customer service to all patients and providers Demonstrate phone skills and etiquette when answering calls, placing callers on hold, transferring, or taking messages Type and process prescriptions either from e-prescribe or fax Monitor patient profile intake for completeness Fulfill prescriptions while working with a large team to print, pull, and perform accuracy checks Exercise discretion and confidentiality with all patient information Follow proper pharmacy and general safety/security procedures and processes Assist and work with a large team of pharmacists, filling technicians, compounding technicians, and shipping specialists to filfill orders efficiently Understand and comply with Best Practice Standards and Valor's Policies and Procedures Fulfill other technician duties as assigned by supervising pharmacist or lead Assist in any duties necessary to ensure the functionality of the business Requirements Minimum of High School Diploma/G.E.D. At least 1 year of pharmacy technician or pharmacy clerk experience in a retail, specialty, or compounding setting Experience with pharmacy software or other retail database systems (preferred) At least 2-3 year customer service experience (preferred in a pharmacy or healthcare setting) Type at least 60 wpm Pass drug screen test, background check, pre-employment verification process Read, understand and be compliant with HIPAA Proficient in CA pharmacy law pertaining to Pharmacy Technicians Working Conditions: Standing, walking, sitting, reaching above shoulders, reaching waist level, reaching below knee, climbing, lifting above shoulder up to 20 lbs and lifting waist level up to 20 lbs. This salary range may include multiple levels. Your level is based on our assessment of your interview performance and experience, which you can always ask the hiring manager about to understand in more detail.
