The EPIC Controller we are looking for:

This position will report directly to the HFD Chief Financial Officer and work directly and indirectly with other resources and related entities. The role is needed to assess the funds' financial activity and its entities/assets and is responsible for preparing reports and evaluating the financial health and transparency of the fund. In addition to asset valuation, statements preparation, and reporting, you may need to investigate when financial irregularities become evident. Work with outside investors, bank partners, and counterparties to coordinate reporting or other ongoing requirements as needed. In addition to ensuring the financial accuracy and coordination of financial transactions between multiple entities, the candidate must show diligence, vigilance, and proactive steps to ensure that future plans can be executed. We need to meet the needs of our investors, lenders, and other stakeholders. A career-level professional that is highly skilled and proficient in this discipline, particularly in an investment fund environment(link removed) Conducts complex, important work with wide latitude for independent judgment. Typically requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily completion of banking, purchasing, and accounting records for all entities
• Fund accounting functions -Reports & evaluating the financial health and transparency
• Vintage monitoring Weekly and monthly with reports to GM
• Coordination of Servicing Metrics and actions to hold Servicer accountable
• Monthly Financial reports prepared by 7th of each month
• Future Cash Flow plan for each Program and Vintage by portfolio
• Alerts and Action steps for indicators
• Daily Reconciliation of Cash flows
• Daily banking requirements executed timely
• Recording daily Sale at Origination Activity
• Borrowing base Covenants Monitoring
• Servicing Metrics Monitoring Criteria and Action Plan
• Proactive Quality Driven Approach to Providing information to Outside Parties

Desired Outcomes

• 8-10+ separate funds with explicitly clear accounting records
• Aggregated Financial statements for parent holding company
• Financial analysts each assigned to record and monitor accounting for 1-3 entities
• Financial Analysts prepare monthly reports for each entity for Chief Financial Officer and General Manager Review
• Weekly Review of Servicing and Collection activities for all portfolios
• Vintage Reporting on Each monthly origination for all programs; Loss rates, first payment default, cumulative collection and loss rates, loss curve analysis, early payoff, delinquency rates
• Funding Cycle for various finance contract purchases

Requirements

• CPA or equivalent technical background

• Proficient in an investment fund environment

• Fund Management Experience

• GAAP Financial Experience

• Tax Preparation and Tax Planning Strategies

• 5-10 years in prior controller or finance roles

• Ability to supervise team of 5-10 employees

• Fund accounting environment

• Multiple entities

• Cash Flow Planning

• 3rd party Audit by outside parties
