IAV is currently seeking Function Owner - Connected Car Services at our North American Headquarters in Northville, Michigan.
Today's vehicles are able to exchange data via a variety of wireless connections. Using a smartphone app, Connected Car Services can query vehicle data and control comfort functions via the mobile network. The portfolio of new Connected Car Services increases with each new vehicle generation. The user expects smooth communication - even across national and system boundaries. As connectivity increases, so do the complexity of and demands on the overall system.
Requirements
Make a significant contribution to progress in vehicle networking and work together with various specialist departments and suppliers. Through your work, you will gain insights into the overall system and ensure the smooth implementation of various technologies and systems.
- Define and prioritize the features and capabilities of the connected car services, working with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs
- Develop and manage the product roadmap, ensuring that it aligns with company goals and objectives.
- Act as the subject matter expert on connected car services, staying up to date with industry trends and advancements.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure successful product launches.
- Manage the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects the needs and priorities of the business and customers.
- Monitor and analyze customer usage and feedback to continuously improve the product offering.
- Develop business cases and proposals for new products and features.
- Ensure that the product is compliant with regulatory and legal requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
- Masters or Ph.D is a plus
- 8+ years of experience in product management or a related field
- Relevant and proven experience in the role of function owner
- Proven experience in defining and launching successful products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of connected car technologies and services
