Global Markets Division (GMD): Mortgage Loans Engineering: Full Stack Software Engineer (Consultant)

Mortgage Loans Engineering Team within Global Markets Division (GMD) is responsible for designing, developing and supporting applications for the Loans Businesses in the firm and its Clients. We deal with a  variety of loans not limited to personal loans, commercial loans, home loans etc. leading to a variety of business problems unique to each loan type. Our focus has been to develop a Mortgage Loans platform which helps manage the end to end lifecycle management of the different kinds of loans we support. We are looking for developers who are interested in applying bleeding-edge technologies to solve problems in loans business. In a team of energetic, self-motivated individuals, we need someone who can take the initiative at any stage of the software cycle, from inception, through development, to release and support. This role also interacts with a variety of other engineering, trading and asset management teams. The structure is flat and the successful candidate will be able to manage his or her time to have maximum impact.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement front-end applications that interfaces with backend servers and APIs.
• Passionate about implementing responsive and user friendly interfaces.
• Debug and build backend service level APIs.
• Willing to pick up and learn new languages/frameworks.
• Write high quality code that is robust, readable and scales.
• Possess the drive to dive deep, thrive and progress even in ambiguous situations.
• Encourage and support knowledge sharing within team and external groups.
• Work in an agile environment focused on the most important deliverable for our clients.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of professional in Typescript, Javascript, React, Redux, HTML5, and CSS
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing dynamic front-end web-based applications
• 3+ years of experience with Java/Python and related technologies viz. Springboot, Dropwizard, etc.
• Familiarity with Git-based version control (Gitlab, GitHub)
• Familiarity with JavaScript testing tools and methods (Jest, Enzyme, Cypress)
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals in Data Structures, Algorithms, Complexity Analysis, Object-Oriented Design and Designing Large Scale Data-Intensive Applications.
• Excellent Analytical and Communication skills including experience speaking to technical and business audiences and working globally.
• Solid understanding of the web development process from the layout/user interface to services layer

Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of work experience, or Masters Degree with more than 3+ year work experience in Software Development.
