JOB DESCRIPTION Understand the system design, architecture, and release engineering of the Active platform. Design and develop innovations, feature enhancements, new modules, and key improvements in the Platform frameworks, components, or tooling. Provide technical leadership and expertise for one or more modules of the Active platform Exercise more senior discretion to determine optimal and efficient designs for multiple areas of the software system Collaborate with other Platform team members in Atlanta and Bangalore, India on a daily basis. Work closely with the Active product development teams to understand their requirements for an effective delivery. Engage with Manhattan Cloud Opsand Production Assurance teams on routine basis to realize a true devops culture. Be responsible for the end-to-end delivery (development, testing, assurance, production deployments, monitoring and reliability of the SaaS solution) of a feature you developed. Be the technology expert who can guide and support the product development teams on multiple technical matters related to the platform. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Four-year bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical field Proven experience of developing for large-scale business application software (significant contributions in the SDLC of the software, security analysis, and quality engineering) 7 years of experience with Java development. A combination of Java with Python, Go, or C++ is also acceptable. 5 years of experience developing with Spring Framework. Preferably, including Spring Boot, Eclipselink/JPA, Camel, and Spring Security. NOT REQUIRED, BUT PREFERRED Knowledge and experience developing with one or more of the following cloud or related technologies: Modern security standards (OAuth 2, OIDC, SAML v2, ADFS, and identity federation technologies such as Azure AD, Ping, Okta, etc.) Google Cloud Platform or equivalent with knowledge of messaging and object storage services. Rabbit MQ, Kafka, Pulsar, or an equivalent messaging service. Modern no-SQL or similar data stores such as Elasticsearch, Redis, Pinecone, BigQuery, Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, etc. Strong foundation with logging and monitoring tools such as EFK, Prometheus, Splunk, or similar. 5 years of Linux (any flavor) experience. A combination of Linux with other variants of UNIX is also acceptable. 4 years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or a related containerization & container orchestration technology. 4 years of experience with databases - primarily in conjunction with Java, Python, or Go. Preferably, MySQL or PostgreSQL. ficient code following best practices and coding standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product managers to translate requirements into technical solutions. Architect and design scalable and reusable React components. Optimize application performance for a smooth user experience Identify opportunities for process improvements, code optimizations, and enhancing development workflows Research and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance the development stack and improve efficiency Qualifications Minimum of 8 years' experience in progressive experience as a React Developer, 12+ years' experience Highly proficient in ReactJs and JavaScript Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs using NodeJS Ability to develop, design, code, and debug high traffic web applications Strong knowledge frontend web technologies of HTML5 and CSS3 Proficient in MySQL Self-motivated to maintain a clean and extremely organized code-base Very well versed in using GitHub for repository management Ability to build attractive, systematic, and intuitive user interfaces Proficient with using UI libraries such as Material UI/Tailwind Familiarity with ever-changing React and JavaScript code patterns and standards Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and debug complex issues Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
