Overview:

We are looking for a motivated, professional and friendly individual to work Front and Back Office in our Tulsa Women's Dietitians. Will be responsible for the overall flow and efficiency of the front office check-in procedures. Greets each patient and portrays a positive attitude daily. Maintains up-to-date patient information and collects applicable payments. Heavy front office and administrative work. This position will also serve as a back up Medical Assistant. Will perform delegated medical functions. This is a full-time, day-shift position working a Monday - Friday schedule.

 



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Greet all Patients and Guests. Check patients in and out.

  • Collect co-pays and daily costs and any outstanding balance.

  • Balance daily deposit (cash, checks & credit).

  • Keep records of patients picking up scripts, records, etc.

  • Prepares examining areas and patients for examination, procedure or treatment by a provider or authorized practitioner.

  • Obtains vital signs and records patient’s medical history and other relevant data.

  • Assists provider with patient examinations, treatments and in-office procedures. Must possess excellent sterile technique.

  • Administers injections or assists with treatments/procedures under direction of authorized practitioner.

  • Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.

  • Obtains prior authorizations and schedules testing and treatments.

  • Organize patient charts and encounters for next day.

  • Keep patient lobby neat and organized.

  • Make reminder calls for appointments.



Knowledge and Skills:




  • Knowledge of medical terminology, phones, computers, and payment collecting skills.

  • Basic knowledge of insurance plans in Arizona and benefits as they relate to Medical and Radiation oncology services.

  • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, good work ethic with job stability and work in a busy job environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word & Excel.



Education and Experience:




  • 1-2 years’ surgical experience highly preferred.

  • Graduation from a medical assistant program preferred.

  • National Certification (or will obtain within 90 days of hire).
