The purpose of this Finance Graduate role is to develop your analytical skills, by supporting the local performance management and compliance framework. You will learn to reverse engineer processes and how every part of our day-to-day doings can have a financial impact which will give you a good end to end understanding of the organization from Sales to Engineering. You will have the opportunity to collaborate beyond the UK&I for margin improvement projects. You will have the opportunity to pursue a CIMA qualification alongside your work to set you up for a successful career in Finance at Philips.
Your role & responsibilities:
Supporting local Cluster/Business leads with performance insights for Order Intake Sales Profitability and cost Deep dives on performance deviations in collaboration with FP&A and the business Supporting the integration of performance management cycles for: US Funnel Daily Management District performance review Order intake compliance & Order book review Supporting the Month end closing activities with special focus on Sleep & Respiratory Care Collaborating with the Pricing team on critical deal approvals Working with Financial Controller on Balance sheet projects (for example Inventory) Support the forecasting process in collaboration with the solution finance teams. Finance Improvement projects (Margin Attack Plan, Cash collection program 2023) Support business during Forecasting, Budgeting, Strategic plans with relevant input
You are a part of the Finance organization UK&I and will support the local Sales and Business Teams. In this role you will report into the Finance Zone Business Partner UK&I. In addition, you will be part of the Philips Graduate Development Programme (GDP Finance track) which is designed to discover future business leaders and incorporate you into the Philips business where your new ideas and passion will shape the Philips business of tomorrow. You will have strong support networks with business managers, mentors and previous graduates. Your cohort will start in September 2024 and will be supported with a comprehensive personal development plan over the two-year scheme.
Although you will be globally mobile, you will initially be based at our UK headquarters in Farnborough, Hampshire (hybrid way of working) for the first 2 years.You may occasionally be required to travel locally and sometimes abroad. Our headquarters in Farnborough is a vibrant and exciting (professionally and socially) place to be based and you will have the opportunity to network with the wider organization.
Youre right for this role if:
Recent graduate in a Finance related degree (Bachelors or Masters) You are currently based in the UK ( essential ) and have completed / currently completing your studies in the UK You are looking to gain a CIMA qualification (studies will commence within your first year) Evidence of high-performance background (for example through your academic and/or extra-curricular activities). Evidence of leadership potential and you will have leadership ambitions. You will demonstrate a high level of energy, drive and passion in pursuing work objectives and a total commitment to achieving successful outcomes. You will be adaptable and confident, enabling you to build strong relationships quickly, which will be key to your success. In essence, you will already be naturally demonstrating our behaviors of customer first, patient safety, quality and integrity always, team up to win, take ownership to deliver fast, and eager to improve and inspire. Recruitment Process:
