Location: Indianapolis, IN. Completed in Sept 2021, POINT's Indianapolis site is one of the largest state-of-the-art radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in the world - almost as large as one and a half football fields.

Overview

The Facilities Technician will have functional responsibility for the preventative maintenance and repair of building systems, grounds, material handling systems, manufacturing, and production equipment to ensure POINT's products are manufactured in accordance with appropriate US FDA and EU regulatory agency requirements and internal company standards at the POINT Biopharma Indianapolis radiopharmaceutical manufacturing center.

The position is based in Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S. and reports directly to the Manager of Facilities.


Objectives

  • Maintains tools and equipment in clean, safe, and in good working order.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements and wear proper personal protective equipment.
  • Comply with FDA, OSHA, and other local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Adhere to organization and facilities department policies and procedures.
  • Build relationships and demonstrate a high level of cooperation.


Accountabilities

  • To successfully maintain assigned equipment ensuring equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Ensure assigned equipment and facilities are compliant with applicable codes and Quality systems.
  • Performs electrical and or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the facility and manufacturing process.
  • Ability to dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
  • Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
  • Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required. May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
  • Ensure all mechanical/electrical equipment supporting the facility is maintained and functioning properly and make necessary repairs and/or perform maintenance (e.g., HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, generators, etc.)
  • Perform basic facility repairs in, but not limited to, painting, carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
  • Liaison and escort for vendors when accessing the facility to conduct scheduled services.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical trade or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Manage multiple projects, set priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, repair manuals, schematics, and other technical documents.
  • Understanding of AC/DC electrical and electronic principles.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to function well in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to plan, develop and execute multiple projects under tight timelines.
  • Operate and execute with an extreme sense of urgency.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
