Job Purpose

The position of Facilities Assistant requires that the employee perform upkeep tasks throughout the facility. This position is responsible for a wide variety of activities including repairs, cleaning and other various jobs to ensure that the facilities are clean, neat and functional.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervisors to discuss duties, problems, and solution methods


• Perform general maintenance and upkeep of facility’s, grounds and equipment.


• Arrange for and oversee work of contractors.


• Adhere to all Southeast Aerospace company policies, safety guidelines, and code of ethical conduct


• Utilize computer for time self-service and general record keeping duties


• In adhering to company polices, all employees are subject to pre-hire, random, and for cause drug and alcohol tests


• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation


• Ensure company vehicles are maintained adequately


• Any and all other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Up to three (3) years relevant work experience preferred


• Verbal and basic telephone communication skills


• Demonstrate attention to detail


• Acceptable background check for required matters


• US Person as defined in FAR 22CFR 120.15 for required matters.

Working Conditions

The working conditions for the Facilities Assistant position will vary. Work is likely to take place outdoors or in a warehouse/hangar-type environment where ambient conditions are variable. Regular Monday-Friday (8am-5pm) work hours are to be expected, however, some special tasks may require unconventional hours.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.


• Able to tolerate various outside weather elements on a regular basis, depending on ambient conditions.


• Walking, Kneeling, lifting, and climbing


• Working on feet most of the day
