Facilities Aide Location: US-DC-Washington Email this job to a friend

This position is the point of contact for the interior and exterior building maintenance and repair services, including painting, carpet, hardware, and furniture. Also handles conference room and special events setup. Job Duties/Requirements - Basic facilities maintenance knowledge and experience
- Basic computer skills
- Customer service background
- Experience operating audio/visual and recording equipment
- Ability to follow established policies and procedures
- Ability to collaborate with others to achieve mission goals and objectives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, email, Familiarity with Telephone Switchboard system. Valid drivers license.CPR/AED Certified (or ability to become certified). Excellent communication and organization skills
- Basic knowledge of Catholic Church structure and hierarchy
- One year of work experience
Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, handle or feel objects or controls; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work is performed mostly in an office setting; however, because of the nature of the position, work also involves some disagreeable elements and/or exposure to loud noises and job hazards that require the ability to climb ladders and walk safely through mechanical areas near electricity, heavy machinery, plumbing, water, outside landscaping, and natural elements. May be required to respond on short notice in the event of weather and/or emergency situations involving Conference facilities. Regular computer work is required in the performance of job duties.
