Position: Full Stack Developer (Mobile Application Developer) Contract: 6 months Client: Con Edison Location: New York, New York(Hybrid) Experience: 8+ years Must to be local candidate of NY/NJ NOTE: Hybrid from Day 1 NY/NJ or nearby states Please see attached file for Assessment/Skills Matrix No visa restrictions Gas/Energy/Electric/Utilities industry experience Job Details The Full Stack Engineer is responsible for both front end and backend development tasks, including database tasks. This individual will be well versed with programming languages that are required for client (user) side development, as well as integration approaches and technologies to bridge contemporary front-end implementations with legacy backend systems. Must have experience in mobile application development. Skills & Requirements Bachelor's degree with 8+ years professional experience Degree specialization in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related focus is a plus Comprehensive understanding of SDLC process in order to move fluidly between coding, team or vendor management, and product ideation Working in an agile team environment Significant experience writing and utilizing autonomous services oriented RESTful API services and performance tuning largescale apps Experience with database systems, with knowledge of SQL and NoSQL stores (e.g. MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Couchbase, etc Fluent in writing comprehensive test suites (e.g. unit, snapshot, integration, end-to-end) and API tests Strong experience with the Microsoft development family NET, SQL Server, Azure DevOps) Experience as a backend engineer in common languages and frameworks (Java Spring Boot, .NET, NodeJS, etc Experience integrating with JavaScript frameworks to Angular Experience designing a comprehensive Git strategy and leading teams in best practices Experience developing RESTful web services Proficient understanding of JavaScript frameworks and libraries Experience in Angular(8+) is a must. Experience developing user interfaces leveraging HTML5 and CSS3 elements Expertise with CSS pre-processors (e.g. LESS, SASS) Knowledge in creating reusable components using Angular Comprehensive understanding of SDLC process in order to move fluidly between coding, team or vendor management, and product ideation Working in an agile team environment Fluent in writing comprehensive test suites (e.g. unit, snapshot, integration, end-to-end) Experience developing RESTful web services Experience in energy industry is a plus Must be comfortable and experienced with complex business logic and system integrations Industry expertise in the energy industry is a plus, but not a requirement. Ability to build scalable, high-performing, fault-tolerant applications Capable of working independently or with a team Design, code and architect complex applications and demonstrate a good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and system design Iterate and maintain a complex application, which consists of both a public facing web site, as well as internal software applications that support and power our team, to create a seamless user experience on both sides. Collaborate with other software engineers and developers, on the various layers of infrastructure for our applications Ensure responsiveness of applications and maintain quality.
