One of our start-up clients is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Finance Manager to support and enable the new platform and services company to meet their strategic and financial goals. As the enterprise consumption of IaaS infrastructure continues to evolve, they will be a key partner in driving business requirements for tools, policies, and processes used across the company.
The Cloud Infrastructure Finance Manager will be responsible for identifying, measuring, monitoring, and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs. The goal is to reduce costs, improve business agility, operational resilience and productivity while ensuring customer experience is a top priority.
Responsibilities
Serve as primary business partner for cloud infrastructure finance for the company, collaborating with FP&A, engineering, accounting, and operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, track spending patterns, and recommend actionable insights.
Manage cloud cost governance, establish budget controls, maintain, and improve forecasting and processes through both increasing modeling accuracy and building tight business relationships with teams across the organization.
3rd Party financial management, including process improvement and acting as a key member of contract management and negotiation teams.
Financial processes: Annual and Long-Range Planning, Forecast and Quarterly Close
Ensuring compliance with GAAP as defined by our Corporate Accounting team and any internal Autodesk audit requirements.
Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in FinOps and technology cost optimization, and
Special projects such as platform consumption and software tools development.
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS degree, MBA a plus
5+ years of related experience, business analysis background, or as proven disruptor
FinOps certifications and comfort with statistics-based modeling a plus
Prior experience in a technology/software/SaaS company a plus
Prior experience in FinOps, Financial Analysis or cloud cost management
Advanced Skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with finance and reporting software (e.g., Anaplan, SAP, etc.) a plus
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, inquisitive mind, data savvy and experience with financial models and analyses
Outstanding critical thinking / problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and strong team player
Strong business acumen
Ability to adapt to a start-up like high growth business environment.
Strong execution with ability to work in a fast pace and manage tight deadlines.
