The Opportunity

We are seeking an engineering/science intern or part-time status worker with strong fundamentals, a curious and creative mind-set, attention to detail, and the desire to learn and contribute to our multi-disciplinary team environment. This hands-on position will offer exposure to all project phases from concept generation to demonstration.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to both learn and contribute to the early stage of R&D related to photocatalytic water splitting for clean hydrogen generation.

You will support this development under the guidance of a lead engineer, offering an opportunity to learn technical and project management skills with a practical path for career growth and satisfaction.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Evaluate and test catalyst materials.
  • Support test rig development and assembly.
  • Carefully document data to assess components and processes.
  • Support lead engineer with literature review and stay up to date with relevant technical literature.
  • Gather and summarize test data for analysis and presentation to senior staff.

Requirements

Who You Are

  • Working towards a BS degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry. Other relevant science or engineering majors will also be considered.
  • Research experience is desired but not required.
  • Familiarity with photocatalysis, electrolysis, semiconductor materials and synthesis are desired but not required.
  • Familiarity with the operation of gas analysis techniques, such as GC is desired but not required.
  • Highly skilled in using Microsoft Excel and other MS products is required.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills required.
  • Comfortable working in a lab environment, including the wearing of safety gear.
  • Expected weekly hours are variable and flexible, depending on project needs.

This is an onsite, hands-on work opportunity.
