JOB TITLE: Electronic Systems Design Engineers

LOCATION: Everett, WA

Summary:

  • Demonstrate creativity, innovation, and invention in the development and advancement of technology.

  • Initiate the study and assessment of technology developments and lead major or multi-disciplined development projects.

  • Identify and document emerging industry standards in line with company goals.

  • Assume a leadership role in industry technical committees and identify areas for potential industry influence.

  • Participate in technology road mapping exercises and promote potential development areas.

  • Publish papers regarding the development of new technology.

  • Shape future customer and industry requirements.

  • Act as a consultant to conduct independent assessments and mentor less experienced engineers.

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of engineering principles and concepts to shape system designs.

  • Develop architecture and system designs using high ingenuity and innovation to address long-term reliability, cost, and quality issues.

  • Develop processes related to analysis and design methodology and act as a technical advisor to help solve complex problems.

  • Act as a consultant to conduct program independent assessments.

  • Resolve complex issues concerning the approval of supplier procurement specifications.

  • Establish and approve technical criteria for the source selection process.

  • Approve supplier plans and schedules.

  • Act as a technical advisor during design reviews and audits.

  • Oversee multiple or complex supplier product hardware and software developments.

  • Resolve and directly influence the management of multiple or complex supplier product issues related to supplier qualification testing that impact cost, schedule, performance, and quality.

  • Direct others in the review and disposition of contractual data.

  • Direct the company test program strategy to improve quality and reduce costs.

  • Manage and direct sophisticated test programs to resolve critical issues and investigate future technology applications.

  • Develop advanced processes and methodologies related to validation, verification, and certification.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree with 14 or more years experience, Master's degree with 12 or more years experience, or Ph.D. with 9 or more years experience.

  • Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.

  • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

  • Differentiation based on years of experience (Levels 3, 4, 5).

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.

Desired Skills:

  • Authoring system functional tests, working knowledge of wire diagrams and schematics, and prior customer introduction experience.

  • Proficiency with software tools and applications.

  • Understanding of aircraft certification.
