Position Overview: As a Dynamometer Technician, you will be instrumental in the installation and removal of engines on dynamometers, ensuring precision and efficiency in all testing processes. You will collaborate with engineering teams to run tests, generate data, and oversee mechanical work within the department. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining our high standards of performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engine Handling: Install and remove engines on dynamometers, including mounting them on carts or pedestals.


• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to run tests and generate accurate data.


• Testing: Conduct comprehensive testing of complete Units Under Test (UUT) and specific parts.


• Supervision: Oversee mechanical work performed in the department, such as test part changes.


• Maintenance: Perform non-destructive maintenance on dynamometer components to ensure optimal performance.


• Equipment Knowledge: Utilize and maintain AVL equipment.


• Software Proficiency: Knowledge and experience with PUMA and Bobcat software are highly desirable.


• Test Writing: Write tests on the PUMA OPEN platform.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a Dynamometer Technician, with a preference for candidates with 5 years of experience.


• Technical Skills: Proven engine testing experience is required.


• Software Skills: Familiarity with AVL equipment is essential. Proficiency with PUMA and Bobcat software is a significant plus.


• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.


• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.


• Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
