Position Summary

Within the North America Center of Excellence, we are responsible for providing strategic guidance and driving executional excellence across consumer engagement teams. This role is responsible for accelerating the region's execution of influencer marketing across the portfolio of prestige brands. This individual will partner with our portfolio of brands to help define their multi-tiered influencer strategies, audit/select influencer agencies for brand activations, drive connection between content & commerce, and build out measurement plans to understand the effectiveness of these activations.

This individual will also be responsible for social trend activation. This includes partnering with our insights team and vendor partners to continually identify beauty and social trends. Leading from the center, we will look for this individual to assist in building a model that allows for our portfolio of brands to work with influencers and creators to react to what is driving todays social conversation. This individual needs to be able to be able to build and activate influencer strategy from end to end.

This role reports into the North America VP of media and influencer marketing. They will be responsible for working with both US and Canadian teams, and occasional travel to Canada may be necessary.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Portfolio Influencer Strategy:

  • Partner with influencer marketing leads across the NOAM portfolio of brands (US & Canada) to help develop and drive their influencer marketing strategies including paid partnerships, gifting/mailers, and influencer events.
  • Partner with NA Integrated Communication and Cultural Relevancy COE to drive integrated Earned/Owned/Paid media strategy with focus on accelerating EMV.
  • Build transparency across the portfolio to ensure operational governance and avoid pricing cannibalization between ELC brands.
  • Provide assessment on external influencer agencies and partner with indirect procurement on the negotiation of ELC rate cards with preferred partners.
  • Provide education and processes for social commerce and how brands can be utilizing influencers to drive sales on platforms like YT, IG, and TikTok
  • Build a roster of external creators including influencers, agencies and publishers.
  • Partner with NA Integrated Communication and Cultural Relevancy COE to drive integrated Earned/Owned/Paid media strategy with focus on accelerating EMV.
  • Build transparency across the portfolio to ensure operational governance and avoid pricing cannibalization between ELC brands.
  • Build a roster of external creators including influencers, agencies and publishers.


Trend Activation:

  • Partner with internal and external resources to build a model that identifies trends with the lasting power for our brands to build around.
  • Stay on the pulse of beauty and social conversations/trends, communicating US and Canadian specific trends to their respective brand teams.
  • Lead trend activations from the center, including gifting/partnering with influencers to build content around relevant trends. This includes selection of influencer agency, sourcing of influencers, and managing day to day activation.
  • Partner with internal and external retailer partners to activate trends in store, on (link removed), and partnering with their influencer squads.


Measurement:

  • Analyze internal and competitive earned media metrics (e.g. EMV) to identify opportunities and insights for senior leadership and brand teams
  • Analyze effectiveness of paid partnership and gifting strategies
  • Provide POV and recommendation on external influencer measurement partners for the NOAM region.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in addition to a college and/or graduate degree
  • Experience and expertise of the Influencer landscape for beauty brands, ready to bring ideas to disrupt.
  • Must have deep understanding of the cosmetic industry, fashion trends, pop culture and KOLs.
  • Experience managing end to end influencer activations.
  • Good communications skills, solid organizational and follow up skills, visual skills and ability to prioritize a must.
  • Seasoned & agile Communications leader who demonstrates curiosity, makes bold decisions & recommendations, tracks external trends, and understands the upstream and downstream impact of their work.
  • Highly organized & pro-active self-starter with a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and take complete ownership of projects.
  • Adept & detail-oriented project manager who ensures that all deliverables are completed in a timely manner; removes barriers to move faster.
  • Agile, resilient and adaptable to change; experiments and adapts to win; questions the status quo
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative operator; ability to lead cross-functional teams and build relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with a high level of creativity and strategic vision
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to independently set priorities and motivate others

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $117,000 to $202,100. Exact salary depends on several
factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on
geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a
highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance
and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
