Data and Analytics Engineer
Looking for a Data and Analytics Engineer who will design and develop data pipelines and models for Minecraft data and analytics team. You will work with Data Scientists, Analysts, Data Engineers, and Architects to select, prepare, and shape the data for use in business analysis, reporting, and Machine Learning models. You will also provide data access tools and documentation for users to unlock the value of our data assets.
Responsibilities
Identify and analyze multi-structured data from various sources to meet analytics requirements
Build and optimize big data pipelines for analytic solutions using modern data engineering practices and frameworks
Design and build flexible polyglot data models that evolve with user needs
Provide stewardship in the creation, collection, and maintenance of metadata
Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, analysts, partners, and stakeholders
Contribute to the design, development, testing and maintenance of data architectures and infrastructure
Handle confidential information responsibly and correctly apply security and privacy policies
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a Data or Analytics Engineer or equivalent on large enterprise systems
Portfolio of data projects that demonstrate your skills and creativity
Proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing (PySpark experience a plus)
Experience with CI/CD, version control and managing production code
Experience with Cloud Platforms; Azure preferred
Experience with Databricks, Azure Synapse or similar data platforms
Knowledge of current and emerging web technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS) is a plus
Excellent communication and project management skills
Ability to work under constant deadline constraints
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or equivalent preferred
