Position Summary: As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the data infrastructure and systems necessary to support the companys logistics operations. Your primary focus will be on designing and building robust data pipelines, ensuring the availability, reliability, and scalability of data systems, and optimizing data processes to improve operational efficiency. This role requires a strong background in data engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of the logistics industry. **We do not offer H1-B/sponsorships****Fully IN office position Monday - Friday 8-5 pm**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration workflows to support logistics operations and business intelligence initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Implement and manage data storage solutions, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.
- Optimize and tune data systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, considering the unique challenges and complexities of the logistics industry.
- Identify and resolve data-related issues, including data quality problems, data consistency, and data transformation bottlenecks.
- Develop and maintain data documentation, including data models, data dictionaries, and process workflows.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and trends in data engineering and logistics domains, and evaluate their potential for application in our data infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Technology teams to ensure data infrastructure aligns with overall technology strategies and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Requirements - Experience with cloud-based data technologies, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Snowflake or Microsoft Azure.
- Proven work experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in the logistics or supply chain industry
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, Scala or R, with experience in developing data pipelines.
- Strong working knowledge in database management systems (DBMS) such as SQL and NoSQL.
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and experience with data modeling tools.
- Familiarity with data integration and ETL tools.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with data warehousing solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large, complex datasets. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills: - Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management processes is a plus.
- Experience with Snowflake data storage and analytics platform.
- Familiarity/Experience with Salesforce platform.
- Experience with data manipulation, transformation, and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy).
- Familiarity with machine learning infrastructure
- Experience deploying and managing machine learning models in production environments.
- Knowledge of platforms like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn for model development and deployment.
Education/Experience: - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

Salary: $65,000 - $105,000 per-year (OTE)
