The Crisis Access Link Model (CALM) Services is a short-term service that provides a mobile, on-site, face-to-face therapeutic response to a youth and their resource family following an initial child welfare placement or following a move to a new child welfare placement.
The CALM Intervention Specialist will support children/youth and resource parents during the initial out of home placement and/or movement placements within the designated CALM region. The CALM Intervention Specialist will work with the Family Support Partner to improve outcomes for children/youth entering or moving within the child welfare system by supporting greater permanency, creating critical pathways of connection across systems, and providing supports to prevent crisis/disruption from emerging and creating stabilization.
Requirements
A Masters degree preferred, Bachelors degree required from a regionally accredited college or university in Social Work or mental health discipline, such as clinical psychology, mental health counseling, or other related discipline. A degree which exposed the student to provision of services through an internship experience in setting with children/youth and on-site supervision preferred.
A minimum of two years providing case work or social services in a child welfare setting; or counseling in a behavior health setting providing services to children/youth being cared for in a foster/resource care setting.
Active Licensure in the state of Pennsylvania as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (with experience treating children/adolescents) is preferred.
