About the Team:

Our Corporate Affairs team liaises closely with the community, media, and the government ensuring our commitment to responsible gaming and the State of Illinois is seen in all aspects of our daily activities.

Position Overview:

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Specialist will support the VP of Corporate Affairs and the Corporate Affairs Manager to deliver Camelots corporate social responsibility program. This will include:

  • Supporting the maintenance and strengthening of the Illinois Lotterys responsible gaming program
  • Supporting the development of a corporate social responsibility program for Camelot in line with head office requirements

Responsibilities:

Responsible Gaming

  • Support the maintenance of the Illinois Lotterys RG program consistent with industry standards and best practices, including World Lottery Association (WLA) Level 4 Responsible Gaming Framework certification.
  • Act as a liaison between the commercial, operations, corporate affairs, and regulation teams on RG matters.
  • Support the implementation of RG-related activities, standards, and controls to ensure continuous improvement and measurement across all areas of the RG program.
  • Provide training on RG policies, programs, and procedures, as needed.
  • Provide advice and guidance for resolving RG inquiries and complaints.
  • Assist in overseeing Camelots commitments to RG

Corporate Social Responsibility

  • Help the Corp Affairs team to develop and maintain a CSR program consistent with industry standards and best practices.
  • Help guide the business on CSR best practices consistent with relevant laws, regulations, policies, certification standards, and head office guidance.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of required policies to support the CSR program.
  • Promote CSR programs across the business and with external stakeholders, as relevant.

Relationship management

  • Build and promote strong working relationships across all areas of the business to advance the RG and CSR programs.
  • Work in partnership with key internal departments to develop and implement communications plans.
  • Build and promote relationships with external stakeholders (including the Department of Health and Human Services, treatment providers, problem gambling organizations, etc.) to support the continued development of the Lotterys RG program.
  • Work closely with the Player Contact Center to drive RG programs and policies.

Miscellaneous

  • Provide advice and guidance for resolving outstanding complaints related to the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Support preparation of information for key updates to external stakeholders including quarterly Lottery Control Board meetings, quarterly private management agreement reports, and monthly Governance meetings.
  • Assist with other projects and initiatives, as assigned.

Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-3 years of corporate affairs/social responsibility experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret laws, rules, regulations, and policies relative to the work.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of the gaming industry.
  • Knowledge of broad corporate social responsibility agendas, issues, and best practices.
  • Experience working within highly regulated environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
