Length of Assignment: 18 months, possibly longer.

Hybrid of choice 1x/week Tuesdays on site highly preferred.

Looking to bring on another corporate communication specialist to help with an enterprise-wide project.

Corporate communications experience, and process management or communication strategy or communication planning experience.

Would like to see internal communication experience key messages, talking points for executives, anything for internal purposes such as, Q&A doc. Anything meant to guide internal folks who will be communicating externally.

Experience in MS Suite and comfortable in Power Point is required.

Amount of experience is flexible: 2-3 years' experience in either internal, corporate, and exec communications.

Must be a strong writer, writing samples will be requested prior to an interview being scheduled. *Make sure candidates are aware this will be the next step prior to the interview - if the candidate has a portfolio with writing samples, please provide them at submission.

Nice to haves:

Crisis communications experience a plus

Working in a highly matrix corporation

Healthcare experience

Interview Process: 2 rounds

Description:

It is a requirement of all Independence facilities that anyone who needs to be onsite for any amount of time, must be fully vaccinated with one booster.

Preference is to have candidate be onsite at least once or twice a week.

Corporate Communications Specialist

Job description

Assist with a range of efforts to implement a company-wide communications project. Duties may include:

Writing and editing.

Strategic communications planning.

Creating and completing project tracking materials.

Working with internal departments to confirm details and gain approvals on content.

Supporting meeting planning and execution.

Conducting internal and web-based research about related subject matter.

Work with internal departments to help maintain corporate communications standards and adhere to the company's style guide.

Support other departmental activities as appropriate.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, English, or a related field.

1-3 years of related communications experience.

Strong written communication skills.

Detail oriented and organized, works well under pressure, and must be able to meet tight deadlines.

Able to work collaboratively and successfully with people across a range of departments.

Skilled in Microsoft suite, including PowerPoint and Excel, and basic online tools
