Controls Design Engineer - $105-120K + Bonus – Automotive & Aerospace Components Manufacturing -  Develop electrical and controls system design solutions based on engineering principles and providing automated production solutions.  Perform technical calculations supporting design including electrical requirements, robotic safety standards, and motor controls. Define equipment and upgrades for assembly lines and individual pieces of equipment. Design of customized



solutions including manufacturing automation and safety systems. Build and validate systems which include pneumatic, servos, variable drives, relays, communication networks, touchscreens, push button and robotic integration. Provide technical support from line conception to installation and operation. Create documentation such as operations manuals, programming diagrams, network diagrams, and electrical drawings. Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases. Responsible for project success whether project leader or as part of a project team. Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all work completed. Interpret operational interruptions, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems and ensure solutions are implemented accurately.



Support commissioning of new assembly lines and systems onsite and at supplier facilities.



 



BS Electrical Engineering degree with 5+ years experience in control and electrical system design utilizing Siemens, Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000, AutoCAD Electrical for automated high-volume manufacturing & assembly plants. Skills in automated industrial system designs including specification of vision, power, sensor, inspection, and



communications systems. Experience programming, designing, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying software to support multiple production operations is required.  MUST HAVE current experience with Siemens 7.
