Montana Construction is a family owned and operated heavy construction business that specializes in all types of Sewers, Water, Bridge, and Emergency services for the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania Municipalities, Utility Authorities as well as private entities.

Role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. An excellent Construction Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.


Requirements

Must have a detailed understanding of the stages of a project life cycle: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitor and Control, and Closing.

Responsible for planning, organizing and directing the successful completion of specific projects ensuring that they are completed on time, on budget and within scope.

Provide technical review of construction plans and specifications and project changes for constructability and practicality.

Oversee the progress of projects and their goals, over the entire project life cycle.

Ensure that project management methodologies, approaches and processes are consistently implemented across all project assignments.

Perform buy-outs, manage sub-contractors and issue purchase orders.

Perform cost and risk management assessments for projects and contracts.

Provide project schedules and updates on a consistent basis to management, owners and outside stakeholders.

Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed. Measure performance to identify areas of improvement. Problem-solve project issues and develop risk mitigation plans to deal with them.

Review daily field reports for accuracy reconciling labor, material, equipment and payment quantities.

Prepare accurate timely payment applications and reconcile disputes with project owners.

Perform detailed project close outs identifying lessons learned.

Drive continuous improvement as it relates to Project Management practices and stay informed of industry developments and best practices.
