Description

  • May have an in office team collaboration twice a month dependent on Covid. Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day administration, development and implementation of the compensation programs for St. Cloud Hospital and other System facilities as needed. Work is performed in an environment focusing on customer service.
  • Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.
  • Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles while interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.
  • Manages the job descriptions by reviewing new and revised job descriptions, maintaining the descriptions, communicating changes to appropriate personnel, analyzing for potential market data changes and maintaining Joint Commission compliance.
  • Maintains the compensation software system including working with the software vendor with annual loading of surveys, reporting, and editing of market data.
  • Completes compensation and benefit market surveys.
  • Runs reports and performs analysis of the market data by compiling internal and external data and preparing cost analysis.
  • Researches and makes recommendations regarding compensation issues including promotions, demotions, internal equity, and hiring guidelines and supports the compensation function by preparing compensation communication, scheduling meetings, etc.
  • Works with recruiters to set pay for new hires and internal transfers.
  • Assists in performing job evaluations by analyzing survey information for positions as requested to support market price philosophy and internal equity.
  • Facilitates written and verbal communication regarding compensation programs to various employee groups to include management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business/Human Resources or related field
  • 1-3 years of previous experience in Compensation
  • Competency in Excel and Word; strong analytical and computer/spreadsheet

Background Preferred:

  • Experience in a hospital setting
