POSITION SUMMARY



The COMPENSATION ANALYST provides broad-based compensation support to business groups throughout the company. Responsible for salary, commission, and incentive plan administration. Conducts compensation analysis of jobs in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and compliance of pay practices. This is a highly analytical role involving great attention to detail.



ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*




  • • Compiles data and performs statistical analysis and interpretation to provide solutions and recommendations on compensation practices and projects.

  • • Assists in reviewing requests for job analysis, including requests for new job titles or changes to existing jobs and descriptions in order to ensure internal equity.

  • • Assists with the design and analysis of base, merit, bonus and incentive plans for appropriate employee groups.

  • • Creates or modifies job descriptions as needed to reflect appropriate responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements.

  • • Reviews wide range of relevant compensation data to ensure company's compensation policies are competitive.

  • • Participates in salary surveys on behalf of the company and ensures analysis of applicable results in order to determine the company’s external market equity.

  • • Provides support with market pricing data for bench marking and equity reviews.

  • • Manages salary structure creation and maintenance.

  • • Ensures company compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • • Performs other Compensation special projects as requested.



BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)




  • • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • • 2+ years of compensation experience.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES




  • • Knowledge of Excel including complex formulas, such as IF statements, concatenations, VLOOKUP function and pivot tables.

  • • Knowledge of HRIS and reporting, Workday experience preferred.

  • • Ability to maintain confidential information.

  • • Highly analytical and strategic thinker.

  • • Ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines.

  • • Excellent follow through skills.

  • • Knowledge of the FLSA and similar State regulations impacting compensation.
