RP Professional Services is seeking a mid-level Communications and Content Manager to join the Industry Liaison team that sits within USAIDs Bureau for Management, Office of Acquisition and Assistance (M/OAA). USAIDs Industry Liaison serves as a front door to organizations interested in doing business with the Agency. This includes prospective and current Agency partners. With more than 3,700 partners globally and thousands more interested in doing business with USAID, creating a comprehensive and inclusive communications and engagement strategy will help to support the Agencys mission and create better partnerships for USAID. The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate about advancing USAIDs partnerships.

This position is fully remote and an existing Facilities Access Clearance (FAC) or FAC eligibility is required.

The Industry Liaison utilizes a variety of platforms to connect and engage with partners, opening doors to USAID. It starts with (link removed) as the foundation of the team's outreach efforts. The IndustryLiaison@usaid.gov email address enables organizations to reach out directly to USAID. Connected to this email address is the Industry Liaison Updates email distribution list that is used to share important information. Additionally, the team manages a Work with USAID Twitter account, LinkedIn group, Facebook page, and YouTube channel(link removed) These platforms enable the team to correspond directly with individuals and reach out to new networks. Responsibilities

  • Seek out, track and develop story ideas/content.
  • Regularly conduct interviews and draft content to support the website and overall communications goals of the Industry Liaison Team.
  • Coordinate revisions of guest blog articles submitted by USAID offices and external individuals and organizations.
  • Support the ongoing refinement of the (link removed) content plan, production plan, and strategic communications plan.
  • Help maintain content calendars and team assignments for blog posts and social media contributions, providing a unified direction for external-facing communications.
  • Support the development of innovative and creative content for the website (i.e. graphics, infographics, videos, podcasts, etc.).
  • Create and coordinate social media content in support of USAIDs partner outreach efforts.
  • Contribute to the Partner Directory editorial review process.
  • Identify and create strategies around innovative approaches that increase the visibility and reach of (link removed) content and features.
  • Develops fact sheets, case studies, and slide presentations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in English, journalism, marketing, public relations, or related field.
  • At least eight years of experience working as a writer and communications professional, preferably in the international development sector.
  • Proven experience in disseminating information to a variety of target audiences required.
  • Exceptional, demonstrated written and oral communications skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong evidence of delivering high-quality products, and temperament suitable to working in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proactive as well as self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Good leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a performance-based culture and a multicultural and virtual work environment.
  • Must be comfortable working independently, taking the initiative once guidance is provided, managing several activities at once and working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and an ability to establish and maintain collegial relations with all partnership incubator stakeholders.
  • Direct or indirect experience with USAID is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; other language skills a plus.
