General Services Corporation is seeking a Collections Manager to join our team in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team responsible for accounts receivable collection for our rental properties
• Maintain an effective collections program that ensures timely payment from residents while minimizing loss due to defaults
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing collections activities
• Perform regular evaluation of collection performance and develop appropriate strategies to address deficiencies
• Develop and maintain relationships with outside collection agencies and attorneys
• Work closely with leasing staff to ensure proper handling of delinquent accounts
• Implement process improvements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the collections process

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years of experience in collections management
• In-depth knowledge of accounts receivable processes and the legal and regulatory framework governing collections activities
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in relevant software applications, including collections management software and accounting software
