Care Coordinator - Dosher Memorial Clinic Network Responsible for scheduling patients for diagnostic tests ordered by referring physicians, informing patients and/or physician staff of the proper preparation and instructions for the tests ordered, and any pre-certs required. Must maintain effective communication with physician offices and departments within the hospital. Is responsible for covering front desk at clinics and helping to support the pain management clinic. Is responsible for working with quality programs to contact patients regarding scheduling of test and appointments. Resolves, pre-certification, registration and case-related concerns prior to a patients appointment. Gather pertinent information from insurance carriers, financial counselors to make certain the patients financial obligations for services provided. Provides support to clinical staff in order to facilitate the administrative components of clinical referrals for various services. Verifies insurance coverage and obtains authorizations if needed from insurance coverage. Enters referrals and documents communications and actions. Education: High School diploma or GED required.
