SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist for its client in Huron, OH. The person will be responsible for assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients, and maintaining equipment and supplies within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform pre-procedure preparations, including patient assessment, verification of patient identity, and obtaining informed consent.
Set up and prepare the Cardiac Cath Lab for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in working order.
Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, angioplasty, stent placements, and other interventional cardiovascular procedures.
Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, to visualize and monitor the progress of procedures.
Monitor patients throughout procedures, assessing vital signs and responding to any changes in patient condition.
Administer medications and contrast agents as directed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related field
3+ years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab setting, with proficiency in assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Current licensure in the State of Ohio as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with additional certification in Cardiac and Vascular Intervention (RT(R, CV)).
Knowledge of radiation safety principles and experience implementing radiation protection measures during procedures.
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations, with a commitment to maintaining patient safety and procedural efficiency.
Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Current CPR certification and compliance with other relevant licensure and credentialing requirements.
