Watershed Technology, Inc. seeks Carbon Data Analyst in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties: Partner with cross-functional teams to define climate change data needs to complete each measurement for the purpose of transforming raw business activity data into final carbon emission result. Ingest and transform unstructured data sets into effective data for processing within the company’s automated carbon data pipelines. Use internal tooling to calculate, test, and publish finalized carbon footprint assessments. Work with customers to help them upload the correct raw data of all aspects of operations, including electricity consumption, product purchase, financial transaction, to measure their carbon footprint as well as to validating data collected. Build and augment internal tools and methodologies that improve the company’s ability to analyze, understand, and validate user carbon footprints. Telecommuting and remote employment permitted. Salary: $105,000 to $120,750.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Statistics, Environmental Science and Management, Environmental Data Analysis, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a sustainability data analyst-related position.

Special Skill Requirements: at least one (1) year of experience in each of the following skills: 1. Greenhouse gas accounting; 2. Data analyst; 3. Life cycle assessment; 4. Target setting and climate action planning; 5. Carbon accounting methodology development; 6. Environmental reporting; 7. Environmentally-extended input output database expertise; 8. Environmental communications; and, 9. Climate strategy planning. Telecommuting and remote employment permitted.
