Expectations of The Dining Food Runner/ Busser

Primary Responsibilities : (Additional duties may be assigned)
Welcome all customers
Deliver food to visitors at the proper table at the proper time, quickly and efficiently and in a friendly manner
Work well with all staff members and with great communication skills in English
Interact with customers and vendors using Saginaws Service System
Provide excellent customer service to customers. Greet and serve visitors in a positive and friendly way.
Answer questions and educate guests about the history of Saginaws Delicatessen
Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality. Make recommendations for maintenance, repair and upkeep
Ensure tables, chairs, displays, counters, sinks, utensils, shelving and storage areas are clean, orderly, and complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards at all times. Clean spills, re-stock and wipe down tables, chairs, sweep floors etc.
Clear and sanitize tables and bring all dirty dishes and utensils to the kitchen for cleaning.
Stock supplies such as napkins, utensils and other supplies
Skills/Experience:
Restaurant experience preferred
Strong organizational of the restaurant and business
Possess the ability to manage stressful circumstances associated with a fast-paced work environment
Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns using Saginaws Service Standards
Basic math skills

The ability to stand and walk around a restaurant to supervise operations for 8-10 hours as well as bend, stoop, and raise arms above head on occasion
The ability to lift 50 pounds
The availability to work nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays
Finger/hand dexterity to operate kitchen machinery, knives, etc.
Must possess hearing, visual and sensory abilities to observe and detect emergency situations; also to distinguish product, taste, texture, temperature, presentation and preparation.

Pay: $13.50 - $21.00 per hour
