Business Analyst

Who we need:

The Business Analyst will be working in collaboration with Kepro (or BFCC) business units, analyze process and workflow requirements; design and document automation recommendations that will improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Function as the ITS liaison in the development of new business processes and business process improvement projects.

What youll do:

  • Work directly with appropriate business and ITS personnel to identify and maximize opportunities to use information technology to improve services, processes and products.
  • Review, analyze, and create detailed documentation of business requirements and system(s) functionality - including workflows, program functions, and recommendations to develop or modify systems and/or applications.
  • Manage projects as required; develop detailed project plans and specifications, estimating time requirements, establishing deadlines, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the project product/service lifecycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions, and resolving conflicts. This includes documenting, prioritizing and tracking requests (changes, enhancements, etc.).
  • Participate in the development and implementation of ITS Quality Assurance (QA) best practices and procedures.
  • Proactively assist with the identification of training and development requirements of the business units. Presents findings, and works with business unit leaders and Education and Development Manager to design and implement training and development initiatives that will continuously upgrade the skills and capabilities of personnel.

What youll need:

Required Qualifications

  • BA degree business or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience considered.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of MS Project
  • Ability to test software and document new and existing processes.
  • Advanced problem solving skills.
  • Proven project management and leadership skills, including the ability to gather clear business requirements.
  • Proven ability to develop, document and maintain operational policies and procedures, including the design and documentation of detailed process flows, and the development of operational performance and quality metric standards and reports.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skill for effective verbal communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical internal/external customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and contribute both as an individual and a team member to achieve the goals of the department.

Experience

  • Three to five years of business process analysis, business process design, and project management experience.
