Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for accuracy. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our company's financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records by recording and categorizing all transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile financial accounts, such as bank statements and credit card statements, while generating and delivering financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in budget development and monitoring, ensuring compliance and providing budget variance analysis.
- Handle payroll processing, tax compliance, and the organization of financial documentation, including preparation for audits when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
- Certification as a Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar credentials is a plus.
