Position Purpose



The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for the preventative and reactive maintenance of all equipment within the facility. This will include such jobs that require a relatively high skill level having a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of the processes involved in their work. Candidates for this position will be required to exercise considerable independent judgment and usually receive an extensive period of training. Maintenance Technicians may work in a cold or warm environment doing a variety of tasks such as troubleshooting repairing work, performing preventative maintenance, working around raw meat, working with industrial electricity, hydraulics, bearings, welding, pneumatics, PLC’s, vibration analysis, basic waste water, and basic ammonia refrigeration and various buildings and grounds work. Tools may be used including drills, saws, cutting disks, wire brush, hammer, screwdrivers, measuring tools, clamps, wrenches, work stands, pullers, etc. These roles require candidates to wear personal protective equipment and work within food safety requirements in order to deliver a safe product to the consumer.



Principal Accountabilities 



60% - Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) and failure Maintenance within the facility.

20% - Respond to emergency breakdown calls in the facility.

15% - Lead duties as assigned including following up on work performed by team members, ordering parts, and directing emergency repair calls by priority.

5% - Conduct daily line assignments by receiving a PM and walking assigned production lines.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications



• At least one year of experience troubleshooting industrial electrical and control systems 

• One year experience working and acting as a lead in a team environment.

• Proficient in mechanical repair and troubleshooting.

• Knowledge the PM (Preventative Maintenance) program.

• Ability read, write, and speak English.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. 





Preferred Qualifications



• Experience generation repair work orders as Maintenance follows up.

• Experience obtaining quotes and creating Maintenance purchase orders.

• Certification in Industrial Electricity I, II, and III

• Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment

• Excellent Math skills

• Experience with Motor Controls and Variable Frequency Drives

• Experience troubleshooting PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controls) and PLC Logic

• Working knowledge of fluid power, hydraulics, and pneumatics

• Experience with Predictive Maintenance and Reliability Maintenance

• Bilingual in English/Spanish

• One year of experience TIG Welding

• Ammonia/Refrigeration Experience is a plus

• Waste Water and Bulk Gas Systems experience is a plus



Compensation

Base Salary - $48,000 to $59,000 *** Never repost ***
