The PositionOur bank client is seeking to fill a BSA Analyst role in the Orland Park, IL area. The successful candidate will assist in the implementation and administration of all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act Program as well as various assignments supporting the program of the bank under the guidance of the BSA Officer. This position offers a generous base salary of up to $75K and an excellent benefits package. (This is not a remote position). BSA Analyst responsibilities include: - Performing various quality controls, reviewing, and monitoring of information including the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering Program, OFAC, and Customer Identification Program using industry-standard and regulatory guidance to ensure the Banks compliance efforts are maintained on a daily basis.
- Assisting in the monitoring of new and revised BSA/AML/OFAC laws and regulations, including regulatory changes and new/emerging issues, assessing the impact on the Bank, and implementing the changes.
- Assisting in investigating and monitoring transactions; training and mentoring in the monitoring of new products.
- Mitigating money laundering risks to the Bank and its customers.
- Preparing and filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) within regulatory timeframes and in accordance with BSA/AML compliance policies and procedures.
- Assisting in investigations for cases referred by Bank personnel for unusual activity and document findings accordingly.
- Assisting in investigations for cases elevated from monthly exceptions or targeted monitoring.
- Administering essential workflow functions such as monthly exception distribution, documenting complex cases as well as ensuring that SAR narratives include all pertinent data elements.
- Assisting in investigations for subpoenas received as well as accounts with OFAC and FinCEN 314a matches for unusual activity and document findings accordingly.
- Maintaining tracking of monthly pending items and statistics in the BSA/AML Dept.
- Assisting in updating and maintaining BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience: - Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three years of related experience will be required.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledgeable and skilled in all areas of BSA/AML compliance.
- Strong understanding of AML, BSA, USA Patriot Act, and OFAC regulatory requirements as well as familiarity with AML and BSA requirements for high-risk customer types.
- Accuracy, good organizational skills, and strong communication skills will be required.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently on multiple assignments while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment will be needed.
- Effective interaction with all levels of management, legal counsel, law enforcement, regulators, and examiners is necessary while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Microsoft Word and Excel applications experience is also needed.
