Associate Adviser

To support the Senior Strategic Financial Advisers by participating in various client activities including preparation for and attendance of meetings, research, phone contact, paraplanning and support.

We will count on you to:


Assisting the financial advisers in their provision tailored financial advice to a range of individual clients by assisting with the development of high quality financial strategies and plans.
Working closely with financial advisers to build and maintain successful client relationships.
Deal with technical client queries and follow-up outstanding matters
Contribute to team meetings and projects and act as thought leaders and mentors for the team.
Developing and maintaining a thorough knowledge of, and compliance with, the licensing and professional standards under which we operate.
Adhere at all times to the Mercer professional code of conduct.
Adhere at all times to Mercers compliance guidelines to ensure that compliance breaches are kept to a minimum.


What you need to have:


University qualified
Commenced the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (ADFP) or equivalent degree
Ideally minimum of 3 years in a Financial Advice Assistant or Junior Paraplanning role
Understanding of more complex structures such as trusts, defined benefit and SMSF.
Superannuation, tax, investment, insurance and estate planning knowledge.
Strong communication, written and numeric skills.
High attention to detail.
