Right now were in need of an Assistant Taproom Manager. Our Craft Sorceress & Taproom Manager needs another hand [assisting in all the sorcery, all the things that keep our taproom running in the background]. From maintaining a safe environment, actively solving problems in a positive manner, and managing our worker bee schedules to keepin that kielbasa inventory on point - this role is vital to keepin that hive jive because were all about good vibes. Please note that Alvarium is a dog-friendly establishment.

If this sounds like your kind of job, here are some other key responsibilities you would be charged with in this position:

  • Ensuring an enjoyable and consistent Alvarium customer experience.
  • Modeling cultural values of the organization while acting as an ambassador in the promotion of the Alvarium brand.
  • Managing taproom supplies including purchasing, researching prices, and managing inventory and related vendor relationships
  • Providing regular updates and reports
  • Managing our online store and gift card tracking
  • Overseeing daily cash processes and reporting
  • Managing beertender scheduling, shift changes, attendance tracking and time-off requests
  • Assisting with maintaing and ensuring the cleanliness of our taproom and patio and facilitating or assisting with vendor relationships, inventory management and daily operational needs
  • Assisting with hiring, performance reviews and employee relations
  • Training and monitoring beertender performance
  • Developing new SOPs and other documentation


Work Schedule

Flexibility is a must for this role. We are hoping that our new Assistant Taproom Manager can accommodate the following weekly work schedule:

Monday Office day 8:30 to 4:30

Remaining weekly hours will require a rotating/flexible schedule based on Taproom needs.

The position will be scheduled behind the bar and be tip-eligible for two shifts per week as well as for fill-ins as needed.

Requirements

We are seeking applicants who are at least 21 and have a minimum of 2 years of taproom, bar or restaurant management experience. You must also be available to accommodate a varied schedule and be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements

The physical activity for this position includes climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, grasping, feeling, lifting, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. The physical requirements for the position include exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The position also requires visual acuity. The worker is subject to environmental conditions both inside and outside and will be subject to extreme cold, heat and noise. The worker is required to function in narrow aisles and passageways.
