Hierarchical condition category risk adjustment coder is responsible for complete medical record review identifying documented conditions, accurately assigning ICD-10 codes, correctly mapping codes to hierarchical condition categories and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
HCC coders role support risk adjustment and reimbursement processes. We are looking for dedicated individuals who have recently accomplished training and some experience in HCC coding.

Key Responsibilities:
Review medical records to abstract data for accurate coding.
Accurately assign ICD-10 diagnosis codes.
Correctly map hierarchical condition categories.
Investigate and resolve assigned coding strategy.
Ensure professional continuing education to guarantee coding compliance.
Participate in team huddles to provide information and updates.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, associate degree, or equivalent experience in a related field. One-year relevant experience.
Applicable coding certification - CRC, CPC, CPC-A, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CCA,
Robust familiarity with medical coding, HCC risk adjustment guidelines, and industry standards.
