Summary



The Human Resources(HR) Analyst is responsible for the support and execution of various initiatives within the HR department related to compliance reporting, record management, retention and data analytics.  The role requires a high levelHR professional skilled in leading and providing substantial guidance on HR best practice while providing administrative support and assessment of WorkdayHCM functional roles and business processes. 


Roles & Responsibilities


  • Assist setting up an official SJI HR Compliance Department

    • build robust dashboard of activity – “Document” Including where to find requests for various audits and compliance activity

    • work with internal HR stakeholders to develop company compliance reporting programs i.e. Affirmative Action Plan (AAP), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)

    • Sending out weekly Workday reports for Terminations and New Hires, Transfers and Promotions to HR and Payroll

    • Assure that effective external relationship are established inclusive of services providers

    • Establish the necessary processes to assure Legal, Risk, and Compliance are inclusive of necessary undertakings



  • Setup review of IT Service Incidents and Features- prepare report that provides status and drive for remediation as necessary

  • Develop end to end documentation including departmental SOP manuals, processes and updates and distribute as necessary

  • Work with HR business leaders and project teams with utilizing an HR Best Practices standard and corporate policies in the assessment and execution around Benefits, Absence, Compensation, and Talent Acquisition

  • Participate in comprehensive assessment of Workday HCM Functional roles and business processes which may include researching and development of job descriptions. Make recommendations based on HR best practice

  • Support cross functional and intradepartmental projects geared towards enhancing organizational productivity i.e. upgrading of the HR department Sharepoint site.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Demonstrated understanding of HR best practice

  • Ability to exercise discretion and effective judgement

  • Ability to analyze trends in the HR field and derive viable solutions

  • Ability to manage project timelines and deliverables and drive them to successful outcomes

  • Ability to communicate in a structure and orderly fashion

  • Ability to collaborate with professionals at all levels within the organization


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience working in Human Resources of Human Resources Compliance Management

  • Experience with HRIS/HCMS functionality and reporting preferably Workday is preferred

  • Experience with compliance reporting, analysis and administration

  • Relevant HR certifications preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)

  • Experience leading projects with cross-functional teams
